Wellbeing Consulting offers experiential mindfulness training to develop this innate capacity for mindfulness and wisdom in all individuals. From training in foundational mindfulness to specific skill-building, we design training to meet your organization's unique needs and objectives.
Creating behavioral change involves teaching, practice, and repetition to effectively integrate the change. Ideally, participation in a multi-week program, for example, with home practice in between, would be a sound approach for creating this change. In the context of the modern workplace, however, the luxury of time is often not available. Alternative approaches might include introductory programs in the workplace, with additional support available through online classes, recordings, or through participation in group workshops outside the workplace.
Introduction to MindfulnessIntroduction to Mindfulness and Meditation is designed to support the practice of mindfulness, helping us develop the skills and attention to be fully present to our lives in the present moment, and to touch each moment deeply. It is intended for those new to mindfulness and meditation, as well as for those who want to review the basics and establish a more consistent daily mindfulness and meditation practice. The course includes basic instruction as well as an exploration of practical ways to bring mindfulness into daily activities.
Introduction to Mindfulness can be taught as a four-week course (two hours per week), three-hour introductory workshop, or a lunch and learn "mindfulness sampler."
Studies have shown that emotional competencies - built through mindfulness and emotional intelligence - are twice as important in contributing to excellence as pure intellect and expertise. In this four-week course on Mindfulness and Emotional Intelligence at Work, modeled on Chade-Meng Tan of Google's "Search Inside Yourself," we develop basic mindfulness skills, self-knowldege and self-mastry, and creation of useful mental habits.
The quality of virtually every relationship in our lives – family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, and more – is greatly influenced by how skillfully we listen and speak. For many of us, mindful communication can be a challenge as well as a source of suffering for ourselves and others. Leaning to listen and speak wisely can greatly enrich and bring healing to all of our relationships.
Our learning objectives in this workshop are to cultivate speaking and listening with presence and caring, incorporating the guidelines of Insight Dialogue and more. The workshop includes instruction, and practice opportunities through interactive exercises.
Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction
Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD., is an eight-week program that systematically teaches mindfulness practices and therapeutic yoga to help reduce stress, increase well-being, and support health, healing and personal growth. The weekly meetings support participants in integrating the practices into their daily life.
